Siphosethu ‘Sipho’ Balakisi is an actress/performer, director, and theatre- maker, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama and Psychology from Rhodes University 2019.

She received her Honours Degree in Directing and Acting from Rhodes University in 2020.

She also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Drama, specializing in Interdisciplinary Performance Practice, from Rhodes University in 2022.

She has taken part in multiple theatre productions, both on and off stage, as well as performing on platforms such as the National Arts Festival. Siphosethu played a lead in a short film that featured at the Africa Rising International Film Festival in 2021.
